Haig Point can only be reached by ferry or
private boat. You must be a member, a guest of a member or a guest of a real
estate company in order to visit Haig Point. This is an exclusive luxury
residential resort community.
Haig Point has three luxurious high-speed ferries that run from morning
until late evening every hour at the half hour. The Embarkation Center
on Hilton Head Island is located at the base of the Cross Island Parkway
on the Sea Pines side next to Palmetto Bay Marina. There is plenty of
parking inside the center's gates.

When you arrive at the Embarkation Center, you can proceed to the bag
drop off to have your luggage, golf clubs, supplies and groceries unloaded
from your car. Then park your car and proceed to the beautiful waterfront
dock or you can wait at the guest center. The valet staff will take
care of delivering your drop-off items to your residence once they get to
Haig Point. Think of Haig Point as living in a house with hotel quality
services! If you need anything you simply call the front desk and the club's
amazing staff will take care of you.
The ferry ride is only 25 minutes down Broad Creek and then across the
Calibogue Sound. You will see beautiful mansions, sailboats, dolphins and
other wildlife along the way. You will feel all of your cares fading away
as you ride across the water.
When you arrive at Haig Point, Daufuskie Island, you step off the ferry
at the club's Front Desk. From there you can take your private golf cart,
a rental golf cart or the club's shuttle bus to your residence. It is an
arrival experience like no other.
You aren't stuck on Haig Point or Hilton Head Island when the regular
ferry is not operating. After hours you simply call the front desk and they
will have a cab waiting at embarkation on the Hilton Head side to take you
to Harbourtown to catch the water taxi. This service is available at no
charge to all of our members between the hours of 11:30pm and 6:30am when
the regular ferries aren't running. You can also use the same service to
leave Daufuskie Island after hours, if necessary.
The water taxi takes only 7 minutes to go from Haig Point to Harbourtown
for dinner or shopping. There are about a dozen restaurants, live entertainment
and several shops and boutiques within walking distance of the water taxi
dock at the base of the Harbourtown lighthouse. The water taxi cost is
only $5 per person.
Haig Point has several boats and ferries that are available for private
charter. Boat and jet ski rentals are available through several nearby
marinas.
Members can dock their private boats at Haig Point's community dock
overnight.
